World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day with a week of fun activities ranging from cookery, to role play, as well as having a dress up day where we all dressed up as our favourite characters. Children had the opportunity to make masks and puppets, as well as listen to stories from other cultures. All staff and children took part in the different activities throughout the week, and a good time was had by all.

Culture Day

Belvedere Junior School are committed to celebrating diversity and ensuring an inclusive environment for all our pupils.  On July 12th we organised at culture day to celebrate differences in culture within our school and the wider community.  Each year group were allocated a country and spent the day finding out about the cultures and beliefs of that country.  Some of the activities involved making traditional foods, listening to music and making traditional items from their chosen countries.  The children gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of the countries cultures and beliefs.  Each class participated in a sharing assembly where they had the opportunity to share their knowledge and findings with the rest of the school.

Red Nose Day

In March this year Belvedere Junior School joined the nation and dedicated a day to Comic Relief.  Everybody wore their official Red Nose and came dressed as a super hero.  In class we raised money by wearing spots.
