Here you will find out all about the learning this year. On this page you will be able to see an overview of all the amazing learning we have completed and everything we've got planned for the rest of the year. Our aim is to complete our learning in a fun and exciting way and prepare our children for the move into year 4.

Year 3 Curriculum Targets
Targets in Year 3: It is important that your child works towards the Year 3 targets but also consolidates their learning from earlier in school.
Learning at Home
Each half term we send a Home Learning Take Away Challenge Menu home to support our learning in class.

We also give the children access to online resources to support their learning. All children have a username and password for logging into Times Tables Rock Stars and Bug Club.
Times Tables Rockstars
TT Rockstars support the learning of times tables and associated division facts through game play. The challenge is to develop your speed of recall. This is especially important as children in year 4 have to complete a national screening test for their times tables knowledge. TT Rockstars is not only fun, but a great way to prepare for this challenge.
Bug Club
Bug Club is an online library of books of an appropriate difficulty or your child. It gives you and your children access to a variety of genres and styles of text. It will also challenge the children to answer comprehension questions on what they've read and is even capable of reading to you. This resource allows children access to a huge range of texts in the comfort of their own home and is a super tool for developing reading skills at home.
Bug Club - All children have access to Bug Club at home where they can read online and answer questions. If you have trouble logging in please email your class teacher.
- Visit the website www.activelearnprimary.co.uk (Make sure you have flash player downloaded) or download the App ‘Puffin Academy’ then click ‘Puffin Portal’ . Next, click the search bar and type ‘bug club.’ Afterwards, scroll down to the bug club logo and click ‘launch’
- Log in using your child’s details
